Spring Cleaning in Summer??

I have to do it when I can!

My friends Amy and Theresa came over today and helped me dust and wash all the "up high" decorator areas in our home.  I am going to show the kitchen cupboards.  They did change a bit....and see how shiney the glass is now?

This area did not change...I love the tins all together.
 Nice clean lemonade glasses!
This whole corner is different.  I used to have a little blue cupboard here...you will see another day where I put that....I was never happy with my milk bottles over the pantry...this is so much better.
Added the cheese crock.  Not new, just new up there!Grandma's cookie jar got moved over a bit...
This whole corner is put together differently.  See the tea kettle.  $1.50 at a garage sale last week.
 along with this gorgeous thing!
Have to think on what I am going to do with it....!!  I was thrilled tho!

O, I love it when I get all my stuff on shelves down, washed and rearranged. Your kitchen looks fantastic and I know it makes you feel good to have it all clean and neat. Good friends you have that come help you. Wonderful. That says a lot about your sweetness. :)

CeeKay,

It looks fabulous! I love the kettle and the caddy you found last week. I notice you have the same scale as Kim at Savvy Southern Style!

Everything looks so clean and shiny. Amy and Theresa did a great job! I wish I could have been there to help - or, at least, eat the great lunch you provided. Don't forget to send me the recipe for watermelon pie! It sounds so intriguing. Maybe I'll be there next time!

Hi Cheekay, I am fixing to clean up on top of my cabinets too...I dread it! I am highly allergic to dust, so I'm going to have to put a mask and goggles on! My eyes tend to swell shut! It does feel good to get it done though...You have very nice friends to come and help you.

I am waiting until Sept. to start decorating for fall. I think I'm getting the itch because I haven't moved one thing around this summer. Everything has stayed the same so I am wanting a change. I am also ready for the cool temps!

Hi Ceekay,
Your cabinet tops look fabulous with all your treasures. Don't you just love to clean it all and rearrange? I need to do the same, but little time lately.

Just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to you and your love. 38 years together is a blessing. We sure enjoyed ours too and I thought of you this week knowing we share the same number of years.
Hope you are feeling good and going to do something special for your day.
Many more blessed years ahead.
Hugs, Celestina Marie

I think spring cleaning in the summer is a great idea! It's too hot outside anyway. Your things all look so nice. Isn't it amazing how gunky it gets up there? It's nice that you had sweet friends to help. :)
