What I have been doing!

Friday evening my husband took me to Flemings for my birthday dinner.  I was feeling good and was able to enjoy my meal.  They have a deconstructed mozzerela salad that I adore.  Shrimp stuffed with crab meat was my main course.  It was fabulous!  And so fun to be out to dinner with my hubby.

Saturday I met up with my friend Sally.  We went to Glendale to do a little window shopping - in the pouring rain no less!....and had a wonderful lunch at the newly reopened Spicery.  It was delicious.  She gave me the sweetest little cut glass jar.  It was hard to take a picture but it has polka dots!

I just had to show you my sprinkler heads I found at an Estate Sale.  75 cents for both!

I participated in the Swap for All Season's fabric collage swap.  I received my gift from Maria.  It is a sweet Little Bo Peep embroidery.

So I had a good weekend.  I chose to stay in today because it is wet and cold and I still have a bit of the sniffles from my flu.  I started packing away the Valentine's items.  Almost time for my birdie items!!
I finally was able to send out my swap to Maria.  I lost everything about her in my computer problems...but Marty came to my rescue again!!  So she should receive it on Tuesday and I will show what I made her then.

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  I guess I need to quit saying it is my birthday week and go on with "normal" life!  I say, too bad a birthday is only one day.  It should be the whole month!!

Sounds like you had a wonderful fun-filled weekend, Ceekay.
The Spicery is one of my favorite places for lunch...remember going there over 20 years ago for the first time. I make their rolls all the time, they are the best...the recipe was in the Az Republic many years ago.

Loved seeing your finds Ceekay! The brass hose knozzle is like one we have. Still use it too.

The little jar is so pretty and I always enjoy seeing embroidery. I used to do that. Now I need a magnifying glass to thread a needle. I had a little repair yesterday and you should have seen J and me trying to thread a needle!!! Time for new glasses or brighter lights or both!

Hi Ceekay,

I am just now recovering from what I am now referring to as "The Lost Week". Last Monday my daughter called and said "Mom, I am very sick can you come get me?" Of course I did and I took her to the Dr. the next day. By Wednesday I had what she had and it was horrible and I am still recovering. My son now has it. Blah. Thank goodness that I write my blog posts in advance.
Anyway, what I am trying to say is that I had it on my calender to call you on the 18th and illness struck. I am so sorry. So please accept my Happy Birthday! Happy year!
