Multiple Mosaic Monday

***Just a note to tell you that I did fine with my treatment. It was a 14 hour away from home day and we are both beat....I appreciate all your words of encouragement. I will be back to blogging the end of the week.***

Warning....picture overload!

Whew! and I do mean WHEW!!
I feel like I have been in a whirlwind. A wonderful whirlwind, but none the less, a whirlwind.

Thursday was a wonderful day with our children. We ate all the traditional Thanksgiving food and then some! The picture of my son is him laughing at how full he is. The grandchildren played and ran after Bentley until finally all were done.

Monday Mosaics at Mary's Little Red House is so much fun. The first mosaic is of my Thanksgiving Tablescape. The little place card turkeys are made out of chocolate. Everything was done in Turkeys this year...and the grandkids thought that was way fun. You KNOW it is all about the grandchildren.

Grandma and kiddos made cookies again this year. They are Bakers in Training!!

I am just like most of you...neck high in Christmas bins....trying to get everything decorated. I don't move as fast as I used to!

Monday I will be in the chemo chair....that is one way of taking a day off from decorating! So if I don't get to your mosaics right away, I promise I will!

Did you see I am over the 80 follower mark??? Wow! Who knew 80 people read my little ole blog!

Oh, and the black Christmas tree???

I don't have a tree skirt yet. I am envisioning black velvet with red trim...but the store isn't envisioning it with me! It is really hard to get a good picture, but it is beautiful in person!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

The Lord has been so good to me this year. I am very well considering my health condition. I have a very loving and caring husband. I have children and grandchildren that I adore and a beautiful home and many lovely things to enjoy. I have many friends in real and in blogland. Most of all, I have the confidence of a home in Heaven, and a personal Saviour who loves me each and every day. I am Blessed!

I pray that each of you will have a wonderful time making memories with your families, thanking God for our blessings, and praying for His provision for the future days.

I will not be posting again until next week sometime. I have chemo on Monday again....but I will be thinking of each of you during this wonderful holiday.

Till then, GOBBLE, GOBBLE!

Kinda a Monday Metamorphis - for Karen

I have been so excited to show this post, but I had to wait until the gift arrived to the giftee.

And I know, I am probably stretching the rules for Metamorphis Monday at Susan's....but, can a Metamorphis being changing nothing to something? I am going with YES!

You all remember that Karen from Some Days are Diamonds, hosted a Ceekay giveaway. Well, I wanted to do a little something for Karen as a thank you. One of my chemo sleep deprived nights, I came up with this idea. You see, Karen loves to make Altered Journals. She even sent me the most beautiful items for me to make myself one. So I thought of making her this mini 4 inch book....of things needed to make an Altered Journal.

It turned out soooooo cute! And Karen wrote me and she really loved it...so it was even more special then.

Seriously, this was so fun to make and I love that my pictures turned out good too.

Hope you enjoy!

Grandma day at School!

Yesterday was Grandparent's day at my grandson's school. I was so happy that I felt well enough to go. It was so cute. I took lunch, McDonalds of course, for him and I. We ate in the cafeteria. Then my GS took me to see his classroom. He is getting so big. He is reading now and they had a Book Fair, so of course, Grandma bought him some books.
I thought this was so cute....I bought him a book to draw Robots. I told him he needed to draw me one and bring it when he comes over on Thursday (Thanksgiving). He stopped in his tracts and seriously said, Grandma....Thursday was Yesterday! I laughed and told him he was correct, but there was another one coming and he was coming to our house! That was OK with him!
He picked out this huge book about outer space. It was very eye catching....but when he opened it up...he looks at me and shakes his head....TOO MANY WORDS Grandma!! I told him, you will get there!

It was a wonderful memory making time.
Then I went shopping. I got a little more of my Christmas shopping done. Bits at a time. I came home and was done for the day!

My turkeys are anxiously awaiting the big day! Grocery list is made. I am the lucky one, my husband is doing the shopping! I am going to tea on Monday. I know, don't hate me!! Candy, Amy and I are finally all getting together and going to the English Rose Tea Room. I can barely stand the wait!
Wow, I am wordy today. Have a wonderful Weekend....see you all on Monday....

Bearly a Mosaic Monday!

Yep, it is Mosaic Monday at Mary's and I "bearly" made it. Today I am showing a bear I made about 12 years ago. Yes, you read that right, I made it. I had a friend from our church at the time who made bears, and she walked me through making this bear. Notice, I only have one! She is precious though. The one picture is her praying...hey, I take all the prayers I can get!
When I moved to AZ 14 years ago I did not own one bear. And this lady could not believe it. So any bears I have started from a few ones I got at that time. I really don't display my bears much anymore. But I bring them out for holiday decor or just sometimes to make me smile.
Don't forget to visit the other mosaics at Mary's Little Red House. I won't be back for a few days...but I will try to visit.
Talk to you at the end of the week!

A Winner!

This time I really did win...like got my name drawn. I just received all these lovely gifts from Esther at Shabby Cottage Collectibles. The little Teddy Bear she hand felted! I haven't had time to look at the books yet...but they look like hours of entertainment!

Hmm, maybe I should get a Lottery Ticket....no, not really!!! But it is so much fun to get these packages in the mail. I am thinking soon I will be doing a giveaway to say thank you to all my lovely blogging friends.
I got a few decorations for my black Christmas tree. I am so anxious to get it finished so I can show everyone.

Hard to believe, but 2 weeks have passed and Monday is another treatment.
For those who know Ashley from Too Jazzed to Sleep, please remember to keep her in prayers. She has started her pretreatments for her Stem Cell transplant. This is so difficult and she has been sick for quite a while.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday together with family and friends.

Two More Gifts! These are Gorgeous!

At our AZ luncheon, Sherry from Country Wings in Phoenix, made some Domino necklaces for some of the ladies. I was in love and wanted to know how to make them too! Sherry was so sweet and made this one just for me. I asked that it have a teapot...cuz you know me and going to tea....It is precious!

Isn't she the most clever lady? What a beautiful gift!

It has been a while, but my dear friend Rebecca, from A Gathering Place, sent me this adorable sachet. The work on this little pillow is absolutely lovely. The mound of flowers on the front and the little charms. It is precious and even more so coming from Rebecca.

The layered back with the sweet buttons.

I believe she sells these in her Etsy shop.

I think I have found what I am going to use on my Black Christmas tree! But that is for another day.

Feel free to say it...I have lost my MIND!

No really, it is fine. My hubby has said it. The salesclerk at Walmart said it. My girlfriend Candy, well, she just doesn't get it. So, go ahead, shake your head. Ceekay has blogged one post too many. She has lost touch with reality....

But I LIKE IT!

All last Christmas I searched for this. I Googled...I shopped...no luck.

But I found it! and I bought it!

My BLACK Christmas tree! Oh, the possibilities....black and white??, black and hot pink??, black and leopard??, hmmm....don't know yet....

Ceekay's doing the happy dance...la, la, la....
***added*** no, the tree is not a Halloween tree. It has red lights. I wish they were white....but the cord is black too. I don't know which way I am going to decorate yet, but red will have to be in the picture! And it wasn't clearance. Regular stock. I see I am not the only crazy blogger out there! I KNEW this would be a hit!!! Now if I can only be brillant enough to decorate it!
**** Thank you, I am feeling much better now. Woo hoo, a whole week without treatment!****

Draggin.....

To my regular followers, this is about as good as it is getting for right now. I have been a Draggin these last few days. After chemo on Monday I thought I would be ok...but here it is Thursday and I am still rather blah. I am going to post several things today to sorta get "caught up"!

I wanted to show you the beautiful package I received from Sammie at Bears In Exile. She wanted to be included in Ceekay's Giveaway Win! I was thrilled with everything...but was so happy to receive the slipper socks. I wear these during chemo and I needed a new pair! Thank you so much!

Karen from Some Days are Diamonds sent me a glorious box full of goodies to do an Altered Journal. I already have great plans for it. The items she sent are just fantastic...very vintage. Karen has become a dear friend and my only wish is that we lived closer to each other!

See the Bingo card....oh, I was so excited about that!

I went to a neighbor's garage sale and she had these wonderful bar stools that are the correct heigth for our counter. The cushions totally match our dining chairs.... She had paid 100.00 for them each at Mor, but wanted $20.00 each. I didn't have that much at home and was going to get the rest when she said $12.00 each.....oh, I was doing the happy dance. They are perfect!

I fixed our counter for a Halloween lunch before hubs went to work. I used the little jack-o-latern towels from the Dollar Tree for napkins...and

My halloween Beanie bears and Laura's note card for the centerpiece!

Bentley was such a good boy Halloween night. He loved all the kids coming for candy. Not a peep out of him....

And the candy finally went. Not too many treaters, but enough cute little ones for this grandma to get her cute kid fix!

Hope you all are having a great week. I think I am finally turning the corner and may actually feel better tomorrow. I sure hope so. There is an item at Walmart (Kat, you KNOW) that I want to get so bad, if they have come in yet. That is on my list of things to do!!!
