Hubby says "A Sophisticated Tablescape"

Time for Tablescape Thursday at Susan's. I was putting some dishes AWAY and my husband said, " Are you doing another tablescape?" I said, "No, I did one, did you see it?" He says..."oh, you mean the sophisticated one?"

OK...sounds like a good title, better than my Black, Brown, White and Gold Tablescape!

My hubby took this picture...he is much taller than me.

I really love brown, black and gold together, especially in this house, because the great room area are all in those colors. Candlesticks are brushed bronze from Kohls over 3 years ago. I have never been sorry I bought them. I think they are just stunning and use them so many ways.

I picked up just two sets of this plate, saucer and cup from HGs a while back on clearance.

Under the salad/dessert plate, I have just a plain brown plate on my black chargers.

Here is the cup and saucer. Love when the flowers are in the cup!

These are the little glasses I got for $1.00 at an antique store in Prescott a few months back.

I just put the good fancy orbs inside my cloche...all the right colors!

The darling pitcher is from Heidi from Foxgloves, Fabric and Folly last Valentine's Day swap.

The honey spoon hooked on the cup.

Here is that sweet creamer and sugar. I use these a lot for just the two of us!

These are the hand forged napkin rings I just got from our Payson trip.

I just love them...I love that look!

Close-up of the napkin. Bought at Anna's linens with Kathy almost 2 years ago!!

Love candlelight...

The candles are "swirled", well, not really, with gold flecks. Target Christmas clearance.

I am so anxious to see all the other lovely tablescapes. I will do my best to get to you all this week...but I am not at "top notch"...so please be patient. Thanks for all the prayers. I SOOOO need them.

How funny that your husband is getting into the swing of things...Mine always asks..."What's the next table decoration your going to do"...who knew they actually pay attention to anything!! But does your husband think your blog friends are imaginary? the table is lovely...very fall looking...As for shopping...when the fan crashed on the table and the husband saw Miss Maxine in pieces his first comment in the middle of the night..in the dark was...We'll hit up all the Walmarts tomorrow and see if we can find you a new one".....I thought that was nice.

I love brown dishes--or designs in brown. I don't think I have any--except for a pie dish. Pretty sugar bowl too! Those glasses were such a nice find and only a dollar, wow! (Ps. I am from Spindle Cottage---but I have many blogs--the spindle cottage blog is going to be mainly for tablescapes and photos dealing with home stuff --

Ceekay, this is just so lovely..very elegant. I love little cups with the design carried inside the cups too, in fact when DD and I go to tea she has to select a tea cup with the design in the cup. Your napkins rings are the neatest and what a nice remembrance from your trip.
Take care, I hope with each day you are feeling better...hugs, and my prayers to you ...Linda

Hi Ceekay, First off, I want you to know I keep you in my prayers always. I so hope you see better days soon.

I just love your tablescape. I too love these colors together and your display everything perfectly.
Your talents for color and placement are fantastic.

I hope you had a wonderful anniversary. I enjoyed reading your post and seeing your pics. You were such a gorgeous bride. So young and delicate. It is so cool that we were married just a week apart 36 years ago, and we meet in blogland.

Sending you a big hug and many prayers coming your way.
Take good care and thank you for stopping by too.

Blessings always, Celestina Marie

Your hubby was so correct in his label for your wonderful tablescape!! I also love those color combinations, CeeKay! They're classic. I did NOT know that was a honey spoon. See how smart we are becoming by reading blogs? I keep telling my husband that I'm not "playing"......"I'm learning!" I don't think he's convinced just yet! :)

I hope you're doing OK with the chemo you just received. I think about you lots and keep you in my prayers.

Hope you have a great weekend. L, Dana
