Oh For Goodness Sake!

I am NOT a football fan. In fact, ask me in a month and I won't really remember if the Cardinals play football or baseball. I just am not that interested. But, the Cardinals WERE in the Superbowl. Of course, we were going to watch the game. Well, the first few minutes - I was done. So, we played remote surfing...making sure we saw halftime (whatever!). Finally, I told hubby that I was going to bedroom to watch TV. Surely someone was decorating a cake or house, or something! And I fell asleep. Oh, wonderful Sunday nap...God made them to be the best! Anyways, somewhere in the haze of sleep I hear ARIZONA. I jump up! Could they have changed it around. Might I have to buy that T-shirt for my grandson after all? What's happening I asked stumbling in from my nap.....They are winning? Yes, but Steelers...oh no, I can't stand it...I am leaving...back to the comfort of my bedroom and...well, you know the rest. See??? this is why I don't watch football. Why would anyone want to have such hopes dashed so drastically in basically a minute? No, give me HGTV anyday!

You are hysterical!!

Well, I have even less enthusiasm, I don't care two hoots which teams win. In a week, who'll care?

To show you how into it we were - we were at Meijers, grocery shopping. Whoopie-de-doo!!

Have a great day, cuz

LOL - I think there are 2 kinds of people in the world - football fans and NOT football fans! Our son played and that got me interested and if the game is good, I enjoyed flipping back and forth to it. Usually from HGTV! Last night it was so exciting in the end. Like football should be. Now if HGTV would get some decorating shows in styles I like, then it would be even better!!

I have never liked football but I did get interested during the playoffs when everybody in Phoenix got Cardinal fever. What a disappointing ending to the game last night. I was thinking how I could write about it in my blog this morning, and all of a sudden, we lost. How could that be? If the game had ended a few seconds sooner we would have won. It was very disappointing, but then it's just a football game.

Talk about DISAPPOINTMENT! I watched the whole game hoping they would turn it around. We were doomed from the second 92 made the 100 yard touch down.

i was so pulling for the Cardinals! I didn't think they had a chance to pull up from behind at one point and then Bam! they did pull up and get ahead.. only to have the Steelers win at the last second. So disappointing. i was really hoping Arizona would win.

CeeKay,
I love visiting your blog...you are so funny.
I am a Steelers fan so I am happy they won, but the Cardinals sure gave them a run for their money.
We are in Las Vegas, so while the game was on my husband and I were involved in a Texas Holdem game. I won $46 and Dennis lost $150. But we had a great time.

Well, our Dallas Cowboys stunk so I didn't care who won the superbowl
until I read about Kurt Warner the Cardinals quarterback's life...
then I wanted them to win...but it wasn't to be... ;-) Bo

Thank you for visiting my blog and commenting on my vintage compacts. It's nice to meet you.

I totally agree with you about the football thing. I tried to watch it, but got my heart broken. I wanted the Cardinals to win. We're in Tampa, where the superbowl was played. Made for lots of traffic and crowds.

Ceekay, I'm still working on digging out my bride doll. I haven't forgotten you and I'm not ignoring you either. It's not easy to get where I need to in order to check, but I am working on it :O). I can't wait to compare her to your doll!

Hi Ceekay, you are too cute. Well, you came close to buying the t- shirt, but in the end we all know the results.
Sounds like you enjoyed a relaxing nap time.

Very funny. I agree, give me HGTV any day, BUT, hubby wanted the Steelers to win and they did and we had a great time at a party!

Too funny! We girls stayed in another room until the end of the game. My sentiments exactly, all that hope and then dashed is too depressing.

Well I'm a pathetic fan...we were at a SuperBowl party all afternoon and came home to watch on our own TV set in HD.... I even love the 5 hrs. of pregame! And this year even halftime was wonderful... And Jennifer Hudson was just amazing.... yep, I had a great day on Sunday...the only thing that would have made it any better would have been if the cardinals would have eaten off more of the clock before scoring.
