Tablescape Tuesday #2

Between Naps on the Porch is hosting Tablescape Tuesdays. Long before Sandra Lee was on TV, I was doing tablescapes. Didn't call them that...I was just "setting a pretty table". Now, to really know me, is to know that decorating is much more my "thing", than the cooking. Oh, I do cook, and quite nicely when I do, but I love to set a yummy table...regardless if we are eating or not! This was my table up until a couple of days ago. I had it tropical after July 4th.

Dishes, "silverware", and glasses...you guessed it, the Dollar Tree. I told you, I LOVE that store.

I so tried to get the pretty candles flickering, but the air kept coming on and blowing them out!

Isn't the silverware cute? I hand wash it, cuz I am afraid it would fall apart in the dishwasher.
A friend brought these to me from Hawaii. They look so cute with this tablesetting, although, I guess pineapples really don't grow on Palm trees!

My table now is set for pre-fall!!! Not quite pumpkins, but a little bit of the fall colors....that is for next week! Happy Tuesday.

PS. The question is often asked where I keep my dishes and "stuff". Everything but my everyday dishes and my china are kept in a double closet in "My room". We put shelves in the entire closet. But, if anyone has an extra room they could ship me....that would work too. The closet is getting full!!

What a great tablescape. I love the idea because I am just not quite ready for pumpkins when it is still 100 degrees. :)

On Friday I will be doing a NOCC post.

I pray that you are well.

I love your table, it makes me want to come over in my grass skirt and have an ice tea with you! Great post.

Sandra Lee better watch out, she has some competition with your tablescape talent! Very pretty! I'm looking forward to seeing what it looks like now with the new setting.

I used to keep my table set, but haven't for a while because I use the table most of the time for my scrapbooking!

Very pretty table, Ceekay.

Do you leave it set all the time? I see that done in model homes and have considered doing it in my dining room.

I so wish I could have sent you the link via e-mail last week. I am afraid you didn't get what I wanted you to see.
I really, really like your tablescape. While pineapples may not grow on palm trees, they still remain a symbol of welcome. And your table is very welcoming.

I am with you girl - I was doing tablescapes a LONG time ago too!

Love the story about moving things in the dining room. Only difference is, I would have been puttin it together in the middle of the night! LOL

Yes, I did make my little acorn pillow. It's all wool. I just used a picture of one on another blog and drew the acorn and stitched it on the backging with the blanket stitch.

Have a great weekend!
