Ever have one of those small projects that you know won't take long, but you just never get to it? I bought this little stool probably 25 years ago at a garage sale probably for 25 cents. I use it every day. You see, I am vertically challenged and I can't get into our high bed without a stool. I have bought new ones that are beautiful, but they are not as secure as this old home made stool. But I haven't had a blue bedroom in years. As you have seen in previous posts, our room is like a Cinnemon and Gold color. So, I laid a hand towel over it. But every time I used it, the towel got messed up. I knew I only needed a remnant, so TODAY was the day. Hubby unscrewed it..., I cut the fabric and voila....
Now, I know this is no great thing compared to the many talented furniture makeovers I have seen on the blog....but boy, am I a happy camper! Let's see, another 25 years....maybe I'll want a blue bedroom!!!

Well, there ya go! I think you did a mighty fine job... and I bet it makes you smile every time you look at it!
Nice covering job on the stool. We have a very high bed too. Fortunately I have long legs so it's not a problem. The Hawaii table setting on your last post is very pretty. Makes me wish I was back in Hawaii.
You must have a high bed. I want a high bed. Mostly so my dogs can't get on it. Those darn mutts mess up my pillows. Anyway, cute stool! Love the fabric.

If you want a pumpkin, I'll make you one...no charge.
What a wonderful job you did! It looks lovely! And there is certainly a lot to be said for sturdiness for us vertically challenged gals!!

Hi,
Your stool looks great. I have a bench that needs to be redone. Your photo is a motivation to me!

Good job Ceekay! Looks good to me. I loved your tablescape, too.
To be in Hawaii again...
How cute is that! I've procrastinated about things like that before, then when it's done so quickly I wonder why it took me so long!! LOL!
