We didn't get Washed Away

but wow!  what a storm!  So many people lost so much with all the flooding.  First time it has rained that much in 75 years!

Last week was a bugger for hubby and I.  I had 4 appointments in 3 days.  He had one.  We were pooped out!  But Praise the Lord, there is no cancer in my bladder.  I have one tumor on the outside which is causing a bit of problem, but they are trying some meds to alleviate the discomfort.

In the meantime, I did do something fun!  My husband found a little cabinet with 4 drawers.  $5.00 at a garage sale.  It was handmade.  So after cleaning it up a bit, we put new knobs.  Each one different.

Then I copied some love letters from my husband while we were dating.  I decopaged them to the top.  Oh it turned out perfect for our bedroom at the cabin-ette.

We love it.  You can see our little headboard, which is a narrow shutter.

Our little sweet bedroom.  We had the windows open a little and listened to the rain falling.  It was a wonderful sound!

Glad you are not swept away. Looks awful on TV. Last year this time were the terrible floods in Colorado.
Is the tumor on the outside ok. You go through so much. Keeping the prayers going. Love your cozy bedroom. Hugs.

Ceekay, I am so happy for you that there is no cancer in your bladder. I hope the tumor goes away for you. Its so good to be able to keep in touch with how you are doing.
What an awesome idea to decoupage the table with the love letters from your hubbie. What a beautiful heirloom that can be passed down to your children.

Oh, I'm so glad you stayed high and dry, Ceekay! We were fine, too, but our area did get a very good soaking with about five inches of rain. Our area is relatively new, so all the parks & walking paths were well-designed to handle excess water, & they did just that. We actually had a couple of extra lakes which looked really cool! It is very sad about all the people who got flooded out. Some of those areas just keep getting heavy rains when some of us get none. This storm was the first really good rainfall that we've had here. Hope you are feeling okay.

I love your little stand, Ceekay. I have always loved "little" pieces of furniture.

I am so glad that you do not have bladder cancer and I sure hope they can get rid of that tumor for you some way...or at least alleviate any symptoms that bother you.

Blessings- xo Diana
