It is ALL Carol's fault!

Carol from Oasis in the Desert just showed off her lovely craft area.  Lots to ooh and ah over.  However, for me, there was one picture that just peeked my interest!

See the beautiful blue hot glue gun hanging there.  Well I wrote Carol and seriously asked her how she keeps her glue gun so clean.  I just knew there must be a secret method.  Carol emailed me back laughing saying....she never has cleaned it and uses it all the time.  She asked me why does mine need cleaning?

Well, by this time I am literally crying laughing.  I could barely type to tell her she must be a very neat crafter....to which she said she HAD to now see my glue gun.....

So, you see, it is ALL Carol's fault.  I would Never willingly let you see this.  Either I am a horrible crafter, or I don't know....glue crazy???

Ok Carol... enjoy....I think I may have to go buy a nice clean glue gun....for photo opps ONLY!!

LOL Ceekay, that is funny. Your glue gun is fuzzy. Does it prop up when you put it down?? that might be the secret. Bless your heart, xoxo,Susie

LOL- Maybe we should do a glue gun contest to see which glue gun looks he worst....Mine is bad but you have me beat.

I seldom read comments but I saw that and did wonder if Carol had a "recipe" to remove it. lol

Ceekay- I just looked it up on the internet-they said RUBBING alcohol and you might have to really soak it-but it will lift the edges and you just keep adding alcohol as the pieces pull off. Who knew!?? Let me know if it works, will you? xo Diana

Oh my gosh, Ceekay, how did it ever get like that? If we ever do a craft project together, sorry, but you cannot use my glue gun.......lol! Just kidding, I think! One thing that might help, if you get a new one, is to have some kind of dish to place the gun in. It kind of looks like yours has found its way right into the middle of whatever you are working on. I really try to keep mine off to the side of where I'm working, because I have burned myself too many times and try to avoid accidentally touching it. I don't know if there is any way to clean one or not. You are truly a good sport. Thanks for the nice comments about my room. Just an FYI, I always had the whitest diapers of all my friends when we had babies -- it's a gift or a curse, I don't know which!

Isn't Carol's craft room great? She's so organized! My glue gun looks kind of like yours too. I must be a messy crafter. :)

Be a sweetie,

Oh I love that glue gun! Shows it belongs to a busy, creative crafter! I am not sure how anyone could keep their glue gun clean! LOL! Smiling now, so I love this post.

Mine is the cord free model with a base, so it stands up and heats when I'm not using it. I hope you find a solution to your glue gun woes. I say enjoy your creativity, just don't catch anything on fire, okay?

LOL - I wish I couldn't relate to this, but not only does my glue gun kinda resemble yours, but no way EVER could I show someone my craft room as is. I soooo need to clean and organize it. Soon. Maybe. Probably? Well perhaps never, lol.

My glue gun looks just like yours, and I've always laid it on a tile away from my work. I've also had hot glue stick to my fingers on more than one occasion - and it hurts!

LOL I guess I am a messy crafter also. I am on my second glue gun in two years. My last one looked just like yours. I am trying to keep the new one clean LOL but finding it very difficult!!! LOL

I think that a clean glue gun is a sign for someone who doesn't craft much! How can your keep your glue gun clean?
