1st Project of 2014

Sherry at No Minimalist Here talked about her first project of the year and I commented that I haven't done one yet....but that isn't exactly correct.

This was a simple project but one I have wanted for months.....

This is the before....

This is now!!
My grandma's Springerle cookie rolling pin!

I added to my rolling pin display holder!!  And I love it.  I really would like a few more....cuz, Lord knows I have more rolling pins!  But I will have to find them on Ebay again!

Makes me Smile!!!

That is so awesome, love that metal holder with the heart on top (I'm a sucker for hearts :) and your grandmother's rolling pin is amazing, and what a treasure knowing it belonged to her. Looks like a perfect first project of the year to me!

He has always been one of my favorites, too, and The River Wild was his very best, I think.

Ceekay, great collection. How special to have your grandparents rolling pin. I once had my mom's and MIL's rolling pins, but they have disappeared. Makes me sad.
All the best for the new year!
