Is the Weekend over???

We sure did keep busy this past weekend.  My husband had Friday off and we woke up bright and early and went to a FANTASTIC estate sale.

This scale was $4.00!  I love it....The little heart shakers are from CB.

I got two of the old spools...$2.00 ea.  Do you see the sweet little iron?  I got that in Globe.  That was my only find and I paid too much...but it is sweet.
I also got an antique spice cabinet at the estate sale, but it is DIRTY, and I have to figure out where to put it!

After the sale, we met our daughter for lunch and ice-cream.  My grands were in school, which I missed them, but it was fun to be able to just talk with my daughter.  We are closing up on plans for Disneyland.

Saturday we went to Mesa Swap Meet.  I got the sweetest sign.  There is always something interesting....and a $2.00 breakfast isn't bad.

Our son was here when we got home and he set up my new I-pad.  Oh, I am crazy over it.  A dear friend surprised me with it, and I am so thankful and HOOKED!

Today we trimmed up our dead, or mostly dead bushes from all the freeze.  You know we broke a 25 year record this year!  I think they will come back...I hope.  We bought one of those pop up garbage cans....how did we live so long without it?

Two friends in the park here came by and visited for a bit.  I go for so long and no company, and then boom, two in one day!!

Then we went out to dinner at the Roaring Fork.  This is my hubby's favorite restaurant.  They have 2 for 1 on certain days, and Superbowl is one of them.  Now we are home, and ready for bed!!

What a great weekend!!  NITE!

Joining these parties:  A Stroll Thru Life, Knick of Time , From My Front Porch to Yours, and Ivy and Elephants

An iPad? Woot. I want one but can't do it until our kiddo gets out of college. I also could use a good estate sale-thrifting here has been dismal. I am so ready for a good yard sale too.

Wow! You found some great buys, I just love those heart shaped salt and pepper shakers and just in time for valentines day.
My eye spotted the clothes hanging in the background, I love vintage clothes made for kids.

Oh, I love to go antiquing and thrifting and am long overdue for a day spent that way.
My son and DIL have a dog named Bentley but a different breed than the one on your photo.
Sounds like you had a fun weekend.

HI Ceekay! You had a busy fun packed weekend. Love your little scale and iron. My mother tells me she actually used that kind of iron to press cloths when she was growing up. She'd place the iron on the old warm morning stove and heat it up, pick it up with pot holders and then iron. I would have hated that! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Ceekay, Loving antiques as I do, I loved your finds; I have old spools and irons too. I wanted to ask you about the Mesa Swap meet-when it is and where. Hubby and I will be in Mesa for four days at the beginning of March and that might be fun to check out. We have friends that live in Florence(or near there in a DelWeb development)so will be doing some touring etc-going to Tuscon and the artist community south of there.
Hope you have a wonderful evening.
Hugs, Noreen

Hi Ceekay,
You sure did have a fun weekend. Love your sweet finds and those heart shakers are too cute.
So glad you are doing better and looks like busy too.
I think I lost some bushes too with the cold this season.
Hope the Disney plans are coming along.

Thank you for the well wishes. I am a bit better from the flu but have pleurisy now. Just have to rest a bit longer. Not something I do well. LOL
Have a great week.

What great finds! Love the little iron. Sounds like my kind of weekend. We went out today for lunch, and a walk-through at a favorite consignment shop. Saw a couple of things I would like, but didn't get them. They seemed a little too expensive. Have a wonderful week.

What a beautiful weekend CeeKay.
I love your finds. I have a very old iron similar to yours that they heated up on the stove...work was so very hard for people then...even in 1980 Grandma Ragan was still using a wringer washer and no dryer...to them a dryer was a waste of money.
I pray for you every day and just the other night I was reading your journey as I didn't know the whole story.
Do you drink green tea...
hugs and prayers
