Bye Bye Tulips...

Hello Roses!!

My neighbor bought them for $1.49 a dozen at the grocery store on Tuesday....left over from Valentine's day.

She was so sweet to bring them to me as a Belated Birthday present.

By the way, my tulips mostly stayed straight, not droopy....I tried the Pinterest idea of a penny in the water.  It must really work!!

Happy Belated Birthday, your roses are just beautiful. I will have to try that trick with tulips, I think they are so pretty but they don't seem to last very long.

Two beautiful bouquets, and such a bargain price for the tulips; the penny idea is new to me, I will try it. You friend was a sweetie to give you the tulips.

Hi Ceekay,
Happy Belated Birthday..I love the tulips when they open real wide like that. Too bad it happens just before they are ready to be done with. I also have been buying roses at bargain prices..I think the girl who works at our local supermarket likes to put them on sale a few days earlier than they should be. Good for us..I like the price much better. Enjoy your roses..
