Our Christmas Tree

I had every intention of doing my Christmas tree different this year.  I was going to get burlap ribbon, and mix some brown ornies in...but I couldn't find the burlap.  I am learning though, (at least I am working on learning) that some things are the way the are for a reason.
I put up the same tree, same decorations that I have had the last 5 years at least.  And I found out that I still love it the same way I did every other year.
The tree is all white and silver.  I use tulle as the ribbon.  All the decorations are snowflakes, icicles, snow related.  I think I love it so much because it reminds me of snow from home - back in Michigan.
Anyways....here is my tree at night.  I love turning on everything that can be lit up at night and just enjoying the beauty!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi Ceekay! Oh, my goodness, your tree is gorgeous! I'm glad you didn't change it as I can't imagine it being more beautiful. Love the tulle you've used.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Your tree is so pretty Ceekay- why change it when it is lovely as can be!!

I see you won the neat dress form from Dolly! Congratulations! I know you are going to have fun dressing her up!

One party down. The big Hospice employee dinner is next week- from 30 - 40 people! They are such a great group of people we are looking forward to having them in our home.

Hope all is well with you- I am sure you are super busy too. It's been neat to have the Lord check me on several occasions while I have been getting ready for these events- reminding of what is really important and taking time to be with hubby when he wanted to do something and inside I was thinking I didn't have time. It ended up being a great day and I got what needed to be done even with the interruption!

Ceekay, it looks beautiful! I started work on our tree this evening, but gave up because I can't get one strand of lights to light up. I may go tree shopping tomorrow. Oh, and I've looked for burlap ribbon too. Haven't found it. ~ sarah

Your tree with truly beautiful! I love how you used the tulle!!!! It just adds so much beauty to it. I like burlap and do have some of the "ribbon" (found it at JoAnnes and Hobby Lobby), but I really do not like the smell of it..but I did put it on my cornstalks that decorated our front porch!

I just finished one tree last night and about to start the one we cut down. ho ho ho!!

Love your tree - I have the same tree each year, too, and I also love all the lights at night. Love the tulle, really a beautiful tree. Now put a little present under the tree and I'll stop by later to get it :)

Hugs,
Mary

What a clever idea all that tulle. Hmmm... Sometimes sticking with the traditional things is so comforting, isn't it?!

It is very pretty...it is good to see everyone's different styles....Mine is a mixture of homemade and store bought ornaments, photos in frames and those special ones given me by other people. When I put them on, I remember the people who gave them to me...

when your tree looks so gorgeous, you don't need to change a thing!

for my burlap garland, i just bought a scrap piece of burlap from joann's for $1.22, and cut long strips, and put it on my tree.

also, joann's had wide burlap ribbon in the floral section-$3.99.

CeeKay -- your tree is stunning! I love the silver and white and all things sparkly. Isn;t it funny how we think we want change but crave all things the same. BTW, I am all about tulle :)

Love your tree! You're right. Ours look very similar. What's funny is I was out looking for the burlap too and never could find it. Later someone told me it's in the floral dept at Michaels (not with the ribbon.) I was going to use it on my other tree. You can never go wrong with the silvery bling at Christmas. It just adds that sparkle.

It is absolutely gorgeous! I think the burlap would be pretty to. I left most of mine the same too. I just love it the way it is!
