Encouragement from a Friend...

I know that I mentioned that we are going through an issue here, it is still ongoing, and someday I will share it.  But for now I have to share the little gift I received in the mail from my friend Kathy.  She knows how important encouragement is, because she is raising her granddaughter after her daughter in law died in childbirth last year at Christmas.  She is amazing...but here is what she sent me!

Does she know me or what?

I just love Kathy to death.  We have been friends for over 30 years.  We have had our share of heartache in those years...but I tell you, no one is as funny as Kathy to me...we hold NOTHING back...and tell each other exactly how we think it is!!  Now that is a friendship!

I wanted to show this Santa my husband found on a little job he was doing....Isn't he wonderful?  The colors are PERFECT for our home!

Have fun decorating, shopping, baking, sending cards...whatever you are doing as we countdown to Christmas!!

I just looked at all of your holiday decor! Absolutely fun, each and every post. Yes, I love your kitchen Santa and elf. I have been looking at stuff like this for years wanting something in my kitchen so now I am taking my first step! I would love your Santa with the gingerbread house. I may have to get a bigger table.

That is so fun that you go to Juno Beach in the Spring. Yes, I was reading her post and she said, "Back to Juno Beach." and I had just mailed my Christmas card to them and thought - Juno Beach, I know that place. How fun. They are my dad's cousins, but we always called them aunt and uncle and I always said they were my favorite relatives - so fun. They live kitty corner from the pool and are the Wards from Connecticut. Tell them you know Jackie Williamson from Utah! We have to come there again - maybe this year, but it is always so crazy here with kids still at home.

Love the sweet chocolate bar. What a sweet friend.

Reminded me of a pillow that one of my precious friends gave me. It said, "A true friend is one who hears what you're not saying." Sounds like you've been blessed with a wonderful true friend. Thank you for sharing her love with us. Cherry Kay
