and His Name Shall be called Wonderful!

While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born,  and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room available for them.   And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord."

This is my collection of Nativities.  Each one has a special place in our hearts.

My husband and I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas.  We pray that you have a joyful celebration with your families and friends....and that you are able to take some time to remember the real reason for this wonderful time of year...the birth of OUR Saviour, Jesus.

Ceekay, what a wonderful collection of Nativities. I love seeing how unique they each are. The birth of our Savior is what Christmas is all about. Chritmas Eve we will be reading from the Bible as the grandies renact the Nativity. We try to do it at least every other year. The kids love Santa, but it's so special when they point at the Nativity and say, 'Jesus'. Wishing you and your husband a Merry Christmas.

I enjoy seeing the nativity collections of other people! This year, most of my decorating involves my mostly-ordinary-nativities. I just didn't get a lot of other stuff out.

They are a good reminder to me of who the Main Attraction of this season really is!

(I saw your blog mentioned in Dawn's post and came over to pay a visit....) Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you and yours, Ceekay!! I've often thought about the Christmas Card exchange from 2008, too. It was alot of fun!

Maybe we should do a Valentine's Day Card Swap. I think that could be real special!! What do you think??

After Christmas, I'll make up a Valentine's Day Card Swap Button and do a post about it. Hope you'll join in.

Christmas Hugs & Blessings,
Jan

I know Christmas is over but I have just come accross your beautiful post. I love your nativities, and was interested to see you have one which looks very much like one of mine - a tiny one just 1 3/4 inches high - your ninth picture down.
Happy New Year and blessings,
