Small Town Christmas

Now technically, Buckeye AZ is NOT a small town.  It is a huge area.  But we are still a town and pretty much out in the country still.  This year we went to the Light Parade.  It was so cute...little kids from their Boy Scout Troops and the Garbage trucks decked out in lights.  We had a wonderful time.

I just love to partake of the simple Christmas pleasures.  Hope you are doing the same.....

Have a great weekend..talk to you soon!!

I went too! It really was a beautiful parade this year. I remember the first year Buckeye had the parade it was so short if you blinked you missed it. I was born and raised here in Buckeye and even though Buckeye has grown so much we do still have the small town feel. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures of the parade. I had forgot my camera at home! Have a wonderful Christmas Ceekay!

I do so like the simple Christmas pleasures...last night as we came near our local airport for landing, I could see so many homes with Christmas lights..the ones on roofs really show up from the sky above...Honey Bear and I like to walk around our neighborhood and see the decorations at night...having a fire in the fireplace...its snowing here but will not accumulate because the ground isn't cold enough..pretty to see falling, though.

Oh the train is my favorite! Our Scout Troop walked in the Litchfield Parade and that is always so much fun to keep 8, 9yr old boys in line. :)

Hi Ceekay,
Yes, I love the simple little things about Christmas. A time for the focus on joys and blessings with the birth of the Christ child.
Love all your pics at night. You take such great pics. Your tree scene in the header in black and white is awesome. Love your background too.

Hope you are enjoying the season. It looks wonderful at your beautiful home.
Love and blessings to you,
Celestina Marie

I will keep my eye out for a pair of skates for you Ceekay!
In the summer, they are always cheap at garage sales and lots of them too!

Wow..these are great photos. I've not learned to take pictures at night, yet. I need to sit down and read instructions but I just HATE reading instructions. :)
Glad you had a good time at the parade.
