My Laundry Room

Another entry in showing my home. Our laundry room is little more than a glorified closet. I love my washer and dryer, but it made the shelves for shorty me impossible to use for products. So what is a woman to do? Fill em up with old laundry stuff!

My hubs surprised me one day and hung up my Aunt's old ironing board. The outfits hanging on the line are my hubby and my baby outfits....the little clothespins are mine from childhood. I have my mom's old scrub boards and mommy and daughter washing picture. I would love to find a child's old ironing board from the 50's to go with my toy iron.....
Washing clothes isn't my favorite thing to do...but it is more fun with all the ole "stuff" around me!
Linking up to Marty's Tuesday Tabletop...

Hi Ceekay! Oh, what a cute laundry room! I love it! I'm a little envious of those beautiful machines you have! Love seeing all your little olden things. You've done a great job in arranging everything.
Thanks for popping in to see me.

Hi Ceekay, Love your laundry room!
All the antique touches are wonderful-I have an old washboard and three antique baby gowns from my family as well as a few photos.
Hubby always closes the door but I like to leave it open cause it is so cute.
Have a blessed evening!

I love your laundry room! I too have the same problem with shelving over my washer and dryer...I'm too short for shelves too. Now I need to get busy looking for laundry items too! Thanks for the inspiration.

Your laundry room is darling~if a laundry room can be that. Mine is sort of like a dungeon. I have a fear of being locked in it until everything is done!!

How nice that you shave those little outfits you and your husband wore. And the little hangers are precious!

Hope you are having a good week, Ceekay!!

Hi Ceekay!
You make me want to start collecting old washday stuff! I love how you've displayed everything. It's wonderful to have your baby clothes and old clothespins! Love it!

Your laundry room is really special.
I'll be on the lookout for a child's ironing board for you. We have one at the shop and it just sold!

I love your decor. I've been wanting to do something in mine. I bought a sign but haven't hung it yet. I have Mom's Ironing board(wooden), scrub board, and a flat iron. I have cabinets above my washer and dryer so not much room for some things. I like the idea of hanging the ironing board. I hadn't figured out what to do with mine yet. Which reminds me, I need some ideas about where to put my baskets. They sit on the dryer at present.

This, I LOVE!!! ... My l.r. shelving is very similar and packed w/ the usual boring miscellany -- no wonder I hesitate to set foot there. LOL.

Have a great evening,

What a wonderful laundry room!! You've made it so appealing - always love the vintage washing items - they add such atmosphere. My favorite part is the old ironing board hanging above the doorway - very clever of your husband.

Reminds me that I need to do a couple of loads of laundry - I'm getting a little behind on it - and it never seems to be completely done, does it?!!!

Very cute room. I kind of did the same thing only my laundry room has the back stairs to the upstairs which gets used, so I had to limit my stuff or it would get knocked down. I can admire yours though

Your antique touches are perfect.

Thank you for stopping by. The pics of Miss B are pencil drawings I did of her several years ago.

Hope you have a great week.

What great fun to be in your laundry room, Ceekay. Loads of laundry AND loads of goodies to gaze upon! Where did you get all that stuff? Did I spy a roller from an old wringer washing machine up there? I got my hand caught in one when I was young. Screamed bloody murder for my mom to unlock the rollers and take my fingers out. OUCH!
