Table Top Tuesday #2

Tuesday is the day we get to show our Tabletops. I wrote Marty who hosts this party an email and showed her ahead of time what I was going to post. You see, she knows I have been looking for this item for well over a year....and the other day at Hobby Lobby, I found one! Yep, some dancing going on over there at that minute!!

A chicken wire cloche!! Sometimes I am just amazed at how the Lord blesses me with the little things!!

Here is my tabletop. I plan on painting the cloche a brown tone after I use it this way for a luncheon.

Karen sent me the sweet little bird.

This is my Grandpa's Bible. It is starting to fall apart from all his use so I put the ribbon around to keep it closed. Those are a pair of his old reading glasses.

This was so hard to take a picture, but I have had this notecard framed for years. It has all the names of God on it. It is one of my treasures!!

This is my husband's pocket watch from 1976. It is a Bicentenial commemorative. I KNOW some of you remember men using pocket watches in the 70s!

The tabletop is in my Living room. I usually don't have this much on a table, but I wanted to show you the cloche. I also have some sweet gifts to show later this week.
Hope all of your week is a good one!

What a wonderful idea, to pair your grandfather's Bible and glasses! I have my great-grandfather's glasses and a few other items from him, so will now have to think of a way to tie them together.

I love your new cloche!! It is adorable!! I will have to go to Hobby Lobby to see if I can find one! I also love what you have done with your grandpa's Bible & glasses...what a treasure! I also love your framed card with all the names of God!! I would love to have something like that! A couple of years ago, the song El Shaddai came on the radio by Amy Grant...first time hearing it! I had to hurry home to look up it's meaning! :)

I love that cloche! I don't have one and have been keeping my eyes open. I hope I come across one like this one too! So sweet! I also really like the bible with the ribbon around it and the reading glasses. That is the most wonderful decorative momento I have seen in sometime. Very nice vignette! I'm adding you to my list to follow.
