A Drive to the Mountains

I have wanted to go up to the White Tanks for a couple of weeks, but as you know, wasn't up to it. So today my husband and I went for a ride up there. It was gorgeous. Unfortunately, we missed the peak of the wildflowers, but it still has much beauty. I hope you enjoy the pictures, especially as we come upon Easter and think of the Great God and Creator we have!

It is especially green this year from all the rain! We probably won't see this again for a while!

I love this picture......this is the wild west at it's best!

This is a bloom on a cactus.

There is beauty in the desert. Different beauty....but beauty all the same!
Kat - you would have loved it!

Hi CeeKay Sweetie...
Oh my goodness gracious, I love the photos that you were able to capture today. They are just gorgeous. I love the wild west one most of all. It looks as though the soldiers of the desert are standing guard over you as you check out each beautiful bloom. They look like soldiers with their arms all twisted in so many different ways.

I am so happy you were able to take the ride before it gets to hot to take little trips like this. Thank you for sharing sweetie. Have a beautiful Wednesday. Love ya girl, Sherry

We don't have tall cactus here but everything else looks a lot like here. This is such an amazing country, in every way. God is so good to us, I am so grateful for this beautiful earth that was created just for us to live on. Glad you had a fun drive with you hubbie, sound nice. Come say hi :D

We live in the high desert of Idaho but we did live in 29 Palms, Calif and Yuma, AZ. and loved it. That landscape brings back some good memories for me and Love Bunny, sugar. I hope you're getting well. :-)

What beautiful pictures. We don't have that kind of cactus here in our desert. I guess we're up too high. The flowers and have been wonderful this year, and your right, it's so green from all the rain.
Blessings,

DEAR CEEKAY,
I DROPPED BY TO GIVE YOU A HUG AND LET YOU KNOW YOU ARE PRAYED FOR DAILY.
WHAT A SURPRISE AND A BLESSING TO BE ABLE TO SEE THE BEAUTY OF THE DESERT. FROM THE VERY FIRST TIME I VISITED SHERRY I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE DESERT. WE DIDN'T VENTURE OUT FAR BUT I THINK SPRING WAS OVER WHEN I GOT THERE AND THEY WERE AFRAID OF FIRES BECAUSE OF ALL THE DRYNESS.
I LOVE THE HOT PINK CACTUS FLOWER.
I LOVE THE BOOK YOU MADE FOR YOUR FRIEND WHERE SHE CREATES. THAT IS BEAUTIFUL...YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB.
HAVE A LOVELY DAY

This is my first visit to your blog and it is a Treasure! Your wildflower pictures are beautiful. We live on the Arizona side of Lake Mead in the little village of Meadview. No wildflowers showing here yet but the Desert Mallow are sprouting leaves. I expect all will be blooming in about a week.

Thank you for a great read.
