Silver Sunday # 1

Today while visiting blogs, I saw that there is a new meme! Silver Sunday at Gypsy Fish. Well, this is just up my alley! I am rather late today, so I grabbed some pictures posted before, but some of you may have not been visiting me then!

This first Charm bracelet is from our last Mexican Riviera cruise. I bought a silver charm from each of the ports. My favorite is the iguana...because I actually held one while I was there!!

This is a close-up of my charm bracelet when I was a teen. It was started for me on my 16th birthday and went through my dating years.... I have memories from trips, offices in school I held, and graduation. See the bit of the typewriter on the far right... I remember this so vividly. One birthday I wanted an electric typewriter...(telling my age here!) My mom found the charm and gave that to me in the morning of my birthday. I thought, oh, funny!! Later that day, I got my REAL typewriter!!

This is the whole bracelet...see how packed it is!!

This I just showed at Christmas, but it was a favorite gift from my friend Candy at Christmas. On Tablescape Thursdays, these are popular! Once I saw one, I HAD to have one. She found it at an antique store in Missouri. I just love it and was also thrilled that the scoop is there also!!

Next week, I will be a bit more prepared, but I hope you enjoyed my first Silver Sunday. My hubs just said...does this mean I need to buy you something silver??? Sounds good to me!
PSS: anyone want to start a Diamond Day??? maybe that will work on him too!!! JUST KIDDING!!!

Love your bracelet, CeeKay. I have one, too. I have even more charms to add to it but I never wear it now. Too afraid I'll lose it....

So...I display it in a cabinet instead. That way I can see it and enjoy it every day (and every time I DUST!).

xoHappy New Year, Friend.

Oh, Ceekay...your charm bracelet from your younger years just gave me a lump in my throat...not because I have one, but because I wanted one!! What better way to celebrate all the great things in our lives (besides journaling!!). When I first heard of Silver Sunday, I never thought of jewelry, hmmmm! I love the typewriter, don't worry sis, I learned on one too. So funny that your parents made you wait all day for the real thing! lol!!

Hope you had a great New Years Sweet Pea!!! :-)

Ceekay~ How I adore charm bracelets. Yours is filled with soo many wonderful memories. I had always wanted one as a young girl. Now I have a handful in my collection, most are individually themed. Hopefully (one day) I'll be able to travel and start collecting charms from our adventures.

I've got a porcelain nut cup similar to yours in silver.
What a fun new meme.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

I got mine when I was a child, but don't remember why. I'm going to post mine on Sunday. Thank you so much for sharing. I thought I was the only adult in the world with one. Rosie

Sorry I missed this last Sunday. I arrived late because I didn't know about Silver Sunday ahead of time. Loved seeing your charm bracelet. I still have mine from high school and have given my nieces plenty of charms through the years. I have a close friend that moved far away many years ago. We try to meet for a get away someplace each year. We started a charm bracelet of these trips. It's fun to have something like this that tells a story. Thanks for sharing and thanks for stopping by today. ~ Sarah
