Towel Bar Show and Tell

I needed to stop at Bed, B*th, and Beyond the other day. I don't get there often as it is a little out of our neighborhood. We were getting ready to check out when my husband said he thought this was a neat idea. I did too! It is a towel bar that hangs on the kitchen cupboard door. It is about 10 inches wide and has hooks to go over the door. It is not permanently attached.

There it is on my cupboard with my Easter towel.
My husband NOW understands that there are towels to USE and towels to LOOK AT. This is a LOOK AT Towel bar!!

I also taught him about Soap to Use and Soap to Look at!! It took many a year and many a ruined cute little heart shaped soap, or embroidered towel, but WE have it NOW!
I am thrilled with this new find. They also had hooks in the same manner.
Many more Show and Tell items and stories at Kelli's. Go see!!
To answer some questions: The big bird basket was from P*er One.
Thank you for all who ask how I am feeling. Not great. But I am hanging in. I am not blogging as much, but I am trying to visit some. Friday marks the half way point. I appreciate all your prayers and concern.

That is a neat towel bar - I'll have to look for one. Glad to hear you are getting out some even though you don't feel so great. We had wonderful news today - my daughter had a clear MRI yesterday. I know there is a miracle out there for you, too. Take care, Sally

I have always said there should be another kind of premarital counseling, where men are taught about how to fold towels, and about the guest towels and guest soap, etc. lol

All men must learn these lessons! Love that towel bar - might have to go get one or two!

Yippee for the half way point! I'll be talking to you tomorrow to have a mini phone celebration!!

love you...

I really would love to have a towel bar like that! Thanks for letting us know they are available. I giggled when I read about the husband lessons!

I knew that they made towels bars for over the door for use in the bathroom (because I have one of those) but I didn't know that they made smaller ones for kitchen towels. You towel with the bunny is cute.

What a wonderful idea! I do like that towel bar.

I think all husbands need to learn about the home soap and the "company" soap! :)

So happy you're half way through.

Oh my goodness...I had to laugh about..Towels to look at and Towels to use...that is so me!!! My husband and son can't understand why I would want towels to look at???? I sometimes loose it ..if I see that the "only to look at towel" has been used...Do I have OCD???
Have a great Friday...Julie

You are so funny - towels and soap to use versus towlels and soap to look at. Why don't they get it? It's as plain as the nose on their face!!! You gave me a chuckle.

My thoughts and prayers are with you for your health, peace and happiness. Thank you for bringing joy to blogland today!!

Ceekay.. I love that lil gadget. My kitchen towels are always hanging on the oven door handle and I hate that look not to mention they are constantly falling off. I'll have to go pick one up.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh! I love this! I have the same problem in my kitchen. All of my display towels end up getting used and worn. I will have to look for a towel bar to go over my cabinet door for displays;-)

Have a great day.

Visiting you via Kelli's Show and Tell blog train!

Sigh, training up husbands is hard. I just posted the other day on how I can communicate these little niggles with him WITHOUT WORDS. You'll have to check it LOL!

Thanks for this - I got a chuckle!

Glad to hear you've passed the halfway mark, whew! All downhill from here, thank goodness.

I just painted my kitchen cabinets black, and mounted a regular towel bar on the front panel of the sink cabinet. Everyone at our house is tall, and half of us (uh, the parents half) are also getting old and fat and don't want to bend over an extra 12 inches :o) No pretty towels on mine, though, just a couple basic white linen dish towels we can push aside to open the door for the trash or the soap. I keep a basket of dishtowels behind the sink (sort of a bay window) and we go through at least half a dozen a day!
