It's Valentine's Day!

I was a young girl of 18 on her first day at college. Someone told me that I might be able to purchase some used text books at the bookstore. This guy, big, tall, and handsome said sure, he had some he wanted to sell. Great. Would he carry them to my car for me? I heard myself say! I didn't even really know his name but I went home and told my cousin, "I met the man I am going to marry."

It took a few weeks. I didn't think he really noticed me. He even asked a friend of mine out on a date first. (I have since forgiven him!) But finally, a note and a little cherry tart in my school mailbox...would I go out with him? Of course I would, but he still had to ask me in person.

We went to a restaurant, he ordered my meal. I thought he was so romantic...really he was so broke! We talked and...well 36 almost years later...we are still talking! One of the three best days of my life!

My husband is sooo good to me! Flowers, candy, chocolate and strawberries, and what I always look for....a card!

Multi colored roses

Yummy strawberries...let me tell you - these are GOOD!

Have a wonderful memory making Valentines Day!

Hug the ones you love!

Happy Valentines Day, Ceekay. Thanks for visiting. You and I could be partners in crime if we lived close. I need a bubby to partner up with me when spring clean up days happen in the city. It is even better than the thrft store because it's then FREE. I find good stuff there also.
