My Bird Feeder

When we moved to our current home 5 years ago, there were no birds.  Just pigeons.  It is a new subdivision built on cotton fields.  Very few trees.  But as the years have passed, neighbors have planted bushes and trees.  We see more birds now.  So I got the idea to buy a small birdfeeder and see what happens....

I THINK these are Desert Chickadees....but I am guessing.  Look at the second picture to the left.  Another bird is waiting for a table to open up.  Reminds me of eating at In and Out!!

My New Blog Book - Edited

Finally I ordered my second year of blogging book.  I still am one year behind.  These are not inexpensive....but worth every penny!  It is just amazing to sit holding a year's worth of journaling, pictures, thoughts....a bit overwhelming honestly.  I really have difficulty explaining what I feel when I look through my books.  I am proud, I am not going to lie.  Proud that I followed through.  JOY - of all the things I have seen, done, felt, enjoyed throughout that year.  Amazed - you know, it is a LOT of work.  The picture taking, the writing....
Bloggers....if you will let me give you some advice.  Do IT!  Get your work in a book.  You will not be sorry of the quality.
I did break down this year, spent the extra 10.00 and got the hard cover.  My hubby was right.  It is much better than the soft cover.

 Now, I have a question.  I bought a couple of pineapples at the grocery store.  They were on sale.  Now, knowing that I live in AZ, can I plant the top?  Or is it a useless venture?

I know some of you gardeners will know.  Thanks.

Edited:  So many of you have asked I thought I would add some things about the blogbook.

• I ordered mine through Cutest Blog on the Block
• I make my books run from Jan thru December - one year

There is a limit on pictures.  So if you regularly blog, you will have to do it in sections.  IE: I tried to put 2 years together, but there were too many pics to do it.

• My book has 213 pages..cost $110.00.  $10.00 extra for Hard Cover
• I do not print the comments.  You can but then you would have more pages.
• It comes through regular mail in about a week.
• If you have blinkies or videos, slides...obviously they will not print.  I remove any of those before I have them run my book.
• Only your posts print....none of your gadgets or widgets.

Gifts and Garage Sale

I received a gift yesterday.  I don't know from who...except it is obviously someone who reads my blog and knows my son.  So thank you.  I was tickled when I saw the bee S&P.  I had been looking for a set.

I added it to my Bee display on the counter in the kitchen...

I went garage sale-ing Friday.  Found this trim for 50 cents.  Hey Marty...working on doing that ottoman!!

All this lace was $1.00.  Aren't you proud of me Karen??

This was also in the gift bag.  Isn't this the most truest saying.  I am doing my best to live by this!!

Really???  I mean, I get it.  We all have issues at one time or another.  But this sign-in thing.  How long is this going to last.  I mean, is there a fix?  Are you going to share it?  Why can I sign into some blogs and not others?

Bee There or....

No, I won't go there!

I felt like a little picnic out on our front landing area.  Wish you could join me!

 The beehive candle was from CB a couple of years ago.  The little bee from from a shower about the same time.  The sweet yellow crochet doilie is from my friend Debbie.  She made them as favors for her daughter in laws Baby shower.

 Now, you all heard me Saturday at Sur Le Table when I found these precious bee napkin rings.  The napkins are from Big Lots...don't know when!

Lace place mats are from the Dollar Tree.  The flatware was a Target find about 5 years ago.  And the Country plates from CB...last Fall, on sale!!

 We could listen to some water in the fountain!

A Surprise Fun Day!

Thursday I got a call from a friend asking if I had any plans for Friday and Saturday.  I said no, nothing planned.  She asked if I would like to go to a resort with her and shopping on Saturday.  Uh, hmmm, let me think.....YES!
So that is what we did.  We stayed Friday night at the Cottonwood Resort in Scottsdale.  We ate at a restaurant that we had never been to and enjoyed the jacuzzi under the stars.  We stayed up until 2 AM talking....
Saturday we eventually got up and went shopping at Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale.  We window shopped at all the stores you want to shop at but can't!  Then we spent MUCH TIME and fun at Charming Charlies,  Sur Le Table (ooh, ahh) and then a great lunch at Culinary Dropout rounded out a fantastic day.

These a just a couple pics I took.  The first store was in the Bragato shopping center.  That store was gorgeous and elegant. 
This last picture of the Southwest something...if you can't see it was over $800.00.  This was at My Sister's Closet.  I restrained and didn't buy it...but I did buy an adorable sugar and creamer which you will see soon....and another fun treat at Sur Le Table.

My husband had a conference to go to last week and these were one of the items handed out.  He was very excited to bring them home to me.  1 is skittles...but 2!  are M&Ms.

Now you know the only problem don't you?  How do I eat them....they are so cute!!
